Received several DMG archives from a Mac colleague that hold project assets. I am on Windows and need to permanently save the contents out, not just peek inside. Cleanest workflow?

Same family as opening any DMG on Windows, with a save step.

7-Zip: right click, 7-Zip, Extract to a folder. That writes the contents out permanently to disk, done.

7-Zip cannot read a particular DMG (some use newer compression): a dedicated DMG tool extracts it or converts to ISO, which Windows then mounts and you copy out.

Assets like fonts or Mac apps may still be Mac only, but images, PDFs and documents extract and open on Windows fine.
7-Zip extracted the project assets to a folder. All the images and PDFs opened on Windows. Solved.
