Years of forwarding and a botched migration left my Gmail with thousands of duplicate messages. Search operators help me find some but deleting duplicates one search at a time is endless. Cleaner approach?
How to remove duplicate emails from a Gmail account?

Gmail has no native dedupe, so options are:
1
Manual:
in:anywhere subject:"exact subject" searches to find copy pairs and bulk delete. Works for a handful, hopeless for thousands.2
SysTools Gmail Duplicate Remover connects over the API, matches on message id, sender, subject and date, and moves the extra copies to Trash where they sit reversible for 30 days.
Run it label by label the first time and spot check Trash before letting the 30 days lapse.
18,000 duplicates trashed, spot checks all correct. Mailbox breathes again. Solved.
