I pulled an OST file from a decommissioned laptop for an internal review. There is no Exchange account behind it any more. I only need to read the emails, not restore anything. How do I open it?
How to read an OST file without Exchange?

SysTools OST Viewer opens orphaned OST files read-only with no Exchange, no profile and no Outlook. The folder tree renders with message bodies and attachments. It also copes with mildly corrupt files too.
For review work the free viewer is enough. If you later need the contents in usable form, the same vendor's converter exports to PST.
Opened first try. Review done. Marking solved.
