Carolina FC Soccer Complex
CFC’s comprehensive soccer training is conducted at the Carolina FC Soccer Complex, conveniently situated near the intersection of I-85 and Hwy. 29. CFC’s new soccer complex opened for training in August 2006 in response to the increasing training needs of the club and the lack of available lighted soccer fields in Spartanburg County. The vision, effort, and generous support of CFC members transformed a land fill borrow pit into a beautiful expanse of soccer fields, preserving recreational green space for the future.
6 Fields: The primary layout of 4 full-size and 2 youth fields can be easily shifted to reduce uneven wear or relined to provide additional youth or micro fields.
Playing Surface: All fields are covered with Celebration grass, an innovative Bermuda hybrid designed to produce a lush, mat-like playing surface rugged enough to withstand year-round use.
Parking: A 144-car gravel parking lot and additional overflow parking areas overlook the playing fields.
Club House: 2100 square foot modular building with handicap accessible restrooms; includes concession area, space for meetings and classroom sessions, and storage.
Future Development
Turn on the Lights!
Permanent Lighting: A capital campaign is underway to raise $250,000 to install permanent lighting, fund on-going maintenance and field improvements, and pave the parking lot.
Room to Grow
By securing its own complex, conveniently located in a high growth area, CFC has taken the bold step necessary to insure its continued growth and stability. Additional acreage at the complex site provides enough space for three or more soccer fields with additional parking, and an indoor facility.
